Someone says that learning two languages at the same time is effective way, so I started learning Irish.
I had to watch Irish pronunciation videos in English, so I wish my English listening skill is enhanced.
while learning Irish, I realized that there are strong connections between religions and word or language.
For instance, "Dia duit"(one of common greeting words used as "Hello") means "God with you".
"Dia" means some pagan gods like deities of Celtic myth or Greek myth.
But nowadays "Dia" means "the God" (the context of Christian) because most of Irish people are Christian.
Even if the "new religion" covered pagan religions, the spirits of Celtic fantasies remain in "the Ireland"(it was called Erin, means green water or green island).
I researched twenty centuries Irish folklores and Celtic myth for my final research(graduation research), and there were hundred of fairy lores.
Someday, I wanna read Irish folklore in Irish.
I think that is one of my destinations of life; researching Irish folks, spirits, and religions is my lifework.
